Treloar Shield
The six round Treloar Shield competition is held from October to December and enables Manly Warringah Athletics athletes to compete in age group events against athletes from other NSW clubs. Athletes score points in their events that contribute to the Club's Treloar Shield and Age Pennants overall points to qualify towards the Treloar Shield final.
Permit Meets
An Athletics Competition can be run by a club such as the Manly Warringah Athletics Club once it has been awarded a Permit Status by Athletics NSW. These meets are conducted under IAAF rules and allow athletes to qualify for National Championships and to be eligible for rankings. At Permit Meets, athletes cannot break NSW or Australian records or post International Qualifying performances.
State and National Championships
The Athletics NSW Championships and Australian Championships are provided for Junior, Open and Masters athletes. There are events at these championships for AWD athletes.
Sydney Track Classic
This is one of the premier events on the annual Athletics NSW Calendar. It is conducted in collaboration with Athletics Australia and is a part of the Australian Grand Prix series. The best of Australia's athletes and international stars compete.
A full list of these competitons can be found at our Calendar.
