Opens Athletes

Opens athletes are 20 years of age and older.

The Club has a strong history of dedicated and successful 'Opens' across all Track & Field events. Some have been State and Australian Champions and some have gone on to represent Australia at Olympic Games, World Championships and Commonwealth Games.

The depth of the Club's Opens athletes is revealed at interclub competitions and at the annual NSW State Relay Championships in which Manly Warringah Athletics (Sydney Pacific) enters many Opens Teams in a wide range of events.

Major state and national competitions for Opens Athletes are the NSW and Australian Championships which are held annually in March and April.
